I have a 13 week old GSD, and I am always outside with her. However, everytime a certain person passes my fence he stomps at her or kicks my fence! I have asked him to stop but he wont and I am seriously getting on my last nerve. My dog is my baby, and nobody will mess with her! Anyways, she isnt afraid of strangers actually she loves people, dogs, and cats! But when she gets older will she be more than likely aggressive towards this person?

I am no expert, but I consider that teasing the dog, and yes it will cause a negative reaction in the long run. I have called people out several times and told them to not tease my dog, some people are just lacking in the smart dept. if you know what I mean.

That might be considered harassment. Have you spoken to your local police? yes, she may develop a hatred for this person.
ETA: I like the video taping idea. And I would let him know he's being videotaped to turn it over to the police. You can NOT video tape someone without their knowledge for legal purposes.

If he doesnt stop I will get the police involved! He is harrassing me & my dog, trespassing, & damaging MY property! Also, can someone tell me when her protective instincts will kick in? Bc then I would feel a little better staying at home by myself and this happening!

I'd go on your side of the fence and when he pops up, spray him with bleach
but I am childish like that, you probably shouldn't do that.BTW, I commend you for asking him to stop. I would have yelled my *** off and made a scene because 1.) that's my dog we're talking about 2.) that's my fence!! |

Make sure you are very aware of this person. Not everyone likes dogs like we do on this forum. Never leave your dog unattended out there. You never know what runs through the minds of people. Is this person older? or a kid? If older it might take a call to authorities about harassment. If a young kid, it just might take a talking to the persons parents.

He is older & I am always out there with her! Were always doing something outside but what I dont get is my dog doesnt even bark at him. However she is starting to get to the barking stage but be does it for no reason! Will her protective instincts start to kick in real soon? Maybe if she is aggressive towards him it'll make him think twice.
