Frisbee!
 

Our golden never had anything to do with any toy that wasn't a ball. She would chase any ball you were willing to throw and would retrieve it until your arm was ready to fall off.

Kylie loves ALL toys, but the only thing she wanted to do with balls was chew the fuzz off and the vet said to take the balls away if she did that because it would remove the enamel from her teeth.

I tried a frisbee with her for the first time this week. She LOVED it. She isn't interested in playing fetch with any other toy, but she'll do it for the frisbee. She doesn't try to catch the frisbee midair. In fact, I have her sit next to me before I throw it because I'm worried that she'll hurt herself if she tries to catch it midair. So I throw it and then she takes off after it.

I wasn't even going to try the frisbee because I was sure she wouldn't go for it. I'm glad I tried it.

You can have a lot of fun with your dog and a Frisbee. It's great exercise for them and doesn't leave you feeling like you just ran a 10K.

I'll be teaching Lisl to play with a Frisbee when she's old enough. Every one of my German Shepherds has loved playing with a Frisbee.
