I have a 5month ged who would sleep through the night but in the last week he is waking every two hours to potty. Any ideas as to why the change? I have not changed his routine or diet since we got him

If he's really having to pee so much you need to get to the vet to make sure there isn't a bladder infection that needs meds to clear up.
Otherwise this simply may be a case of your puppy getting older and needing TONS more exercise now than prior. This is the age most of us take the easiest route by adding group dog classes with the built in socialization and mental stimulation to help wear them out. Added to the miles of off leash activities you can do (hike works for my pups). Car rides to meet up with other friends and their dogs....
