Every night around..

Nine ruger starts bitting me like crazy. Is he overtired?

Could be many things, to tired OR last burst of play energy for the evening...

I know daylight savings is messing up my exercise routine with it being dark when I get up and dark when I get home so I have to adjust my routine for the dogs. Been giving more treat filled purple squirrels to keep them busy before they get into trouble...

Time for bed. He is tired.

Dogs (and puppies especially, with the zoomy thing!) tend to have two periods of increased activity each day - morning and evening, that's pretty typical, and I think it does have something to do with being overtired. When each of mine were puppies, right before they crashed in the evening they would often just be wild, crazy, out of control beasts. And then BAM! Down for the count. Sort of like how overtired toddlers get whiny and impossible when they need a nap.

Cassidy was so predictable that we named it "9:00 play" - it was that consistent!

My thoughts, as well. My dogs are all semi-asleep on the living room floor at 9pm just waiting for the telltale signs that I'm going to go upstairs.

It usually only happens for 15 mins then out cold. Kind funny.

I had completely forgotten about this annoyance. WD had the zoomies from 8.00 to 10.00. I dreaded that time. I jut got up from my lazy chair after working with him all day it seemed like and worked with him again. Then he would drop "dead" until the next morning, ready for another shark themed day.
Thanks for the reminder to not to go look for pups.

Would you suggest to kennel him up when he starts that or just wait till he passes out?

I put my pup to bed when she starts acting like that. She always gets crazy when she is overtired. She is 4.5 months.
