What is acceptable puppy biting?

I'm going to go against the grain here - while I totally agree that puppy biting is completely normal, I'd expect the worst of it to be over by 4 months old. It does sound like what your husband is doing is exacerbating the problem. Good luck, I hope things get better soon!

We talked to another trainer yesterday who basically said that unless my husband gets over it, he can look forward to being bitten for ever. Not a very helpful comment to make to a potential client so we will not be using her. Shadow has obviously been listening and taking notes as he's been pretty nice this week-end with long walks, lots of interaction and we've resorted to the crate a little more - him, not us although we did consider crawling in!!!

Glad it seems to be a bit better and can't wait to hear the updates with the new trainer.
