Default Ear infection=bad behaviour

Storm (17wks) has got a middle ear infection and I have noticed that in the last week his behaviour has really changed, he was doing really well in all areas of training but has turned into a little devil now
He was doing really well on walks (apart from a bit of barking on leaving the house...excitement I think) but now he barks at everyone and everything and is getting himself into a bit of a state. He has quite bad head tilt (from ear infection) and I'm thinking that this may have something to do with the way he is behaving now...what do you all think?
Before this if we saw a dog/person/bin etc that he was unsure of I would either give lots of praise as we approached with no barking or we would do sit/wait and he was fed treats as the person/dog passed but now he gets himself into such a state barking that I can't get through to him to calm him down....I need some ideas please
Thank-you in advance for any suggestions
Kel x

I'm sometimes crabby when I don't feel good. If his ears hurt I would think it would be something to consider.

How long as he been on meds for the infection (ear infections are painful)?

He has only been on his medication since Monday so I guess it will take a few days to get into his system x

It takes 48 hours for an antibiotic to get in your system and start taking affect. Inner ear issues are tricky. They make you dizzy, equilibrium is off, maybe a bit sick to your stomach and painful. I'd bark at everything too.

Give him some time to heal and rest while taking the meds. Hopefully his behavior will improve as he feels better. I back off on training and activity when my dog is really sick.

Thank-you for replies I will make sure to walk him early morning and late evening for the time being...so less likely to bump into anyone that could make him "upset".
I don't want him to be reacting like this now while he is not feeling great and for him to get used to barking and reacting in a negative way...as I say up until the ear infection he was doing very well and would have the odd bark here and there but nothing like how he is at the min...phew I thought he had just turned into a little monster lol
