I took it to mean he's just asking a hypothetical, as in "What would have happened if I had kept the brother instead of returning him to the breeder?" Not that he's actually considering going back and getting the brother again.

No i meant. With all the info you guys are giving me based on diff ages, i was curious about having the same results if i ended up keeping his bro in the beginning.
My plan was to have 2 boys so they wouldnt be alone. (in hindsight, major error on my part) and so after 2 weeks i gave his bro back to the breeder. So i was curious of the outcome if i kept both being the same age same litter. But thank you all for the info. I should have asked first b4 i brought the 2 home. I had no idea what i was getting into. Having one...i cant even imagine how i could have had 2 because the amount of care i give him is impossible to divide btw 2 pups. After i gave him back the house was SOOO calm and i felt like i was able only then to give the appropriate attention and affection and care. I am not sure what i was thinking but i certainely tried fixing it asap because i felt terrible to bring them both home and i just could not keep both. Esp being my first experience with puppyhood. Dena was only 13 months old when we got her half brother Keefer, and the ONLY reason we even considered getting him was that she was extremely well behaved from a very young age. Setting aside her training for a few months in order to work with him was something I felt very comfortable doing, but I would not want to do that with a dog that wasn't already practically perfect and still a work in process. I also made sure that each of them had some one on one time with me so they didn't spend all of their time together and bond more strongly with each other than with us. That took some effort and wasn't always easy but with littermates who had been together since birth that would be MUCH more difficult.
