Some are normal, and some were weird.
1) Running/jumping around the house. 2) Siting on the floor. 3) Laying on the floor brought some of the worse aggression ever. 4) Touching her... yea... at first she didn't want me to touch her. 5) Touching paw/belly/tail led to some huge aggression. 6) Walking in circles. 7) Talking on the phone led to huge aggression. 8) Loose leash walking, if she saw the leash on her. 9) Hugging other people 10) Hugging other people in the kitchen( why is this different???) 11) Excited anything. 12) Yelling ouch! 13) Aggressive corrections led to by far the worse aggression response. 14) Pushing her off of me always increased the aggression 100%. 15) Trash can. Not direction aggression but seemed to put her in an aggressive mode when I would tell her not to go in the trash. 16) No to anything. That is all I can think of right now. These are all things I've worked out of her. I wanted a family dog so that is what I helped her become. It took time but it was worth it. My nieces and nephews are probably very thankful for this. I told the 5 nephew not to pull on the dogs tail but he still did it. Bridget(dog) wasn't bothered by it. They rolled around on the floor and ran through the house. Bridget would follow but wouldn't bite or get aggressive in any way. Things I haven't fixed yet... don't even know how. 1) Dog whisper/ Dog town/ or dog anything. I turn it on and Bridget tries to attack the TV. I only watched 3 episodes so far as a result of this. That's it. Last edited by GSD246; 01-18-2012 at 03:48 PM. |

Woolf would react to anything dog on TV. Luckily I can bring up YouTube on it. We loaded up videos of dogs barking, playing, whining - any video that dog was the central theme. We spent about an hour each day with this on. It took about a month of this. Now when there are dogs on TV, he either ignores it or if there are bright colors or lots of actions he watches TV.
Something else I did to help with the reaction to dogs barking in the distance was create a playlist of .wavs that like above, was different dog sounds. Occasionally, when sitting at the pc doing some work, I'd have that on in the background. |
