Hi,
In the last two days I noticed my 7 month old gsd starting to lift his leg (most of the time on trees) but not actually pee, Is he beginning to learn how to pee while lifting his leg? Is it normal? Most of the time when I took him for a walk he was peeing only once and emptying all his urine but now sometimes he stops and pees in a small amount several times. My main question, Is it normal that he lift his leg but not pee? Thank You. |

It's normal not to see the one or two drops of pee that comes out. They save it all up to pee on a million different things along the way.
I figure...one full bladder equals a hundred drops of pee on a hundred different things. |

........and then as they get older you have to think "Where does all that pee come from" as they have to give everything a full squirt!

When we are walking on the street I don't allow my boy to mark on peoples mailboxes, etc. But when we are walking through the trails/woods I will and I just don't know where all that pee comes from and sometimes he runs out but still lifts his leg and gives it a try!
