I got her like three day ago since then i cant get no sleep i will put her in the crate about 10 pm. Last meal like around 7 pm. She will whinn like 3 or 4 times at night so i have to wake up and let her out because she wont pup or pee in the crate. Some people tell me To ignore and just let her pup in there or pee, i really dont want to keep waking up at night. Whats the right thinG to do??? Should i just keep waking up when she whinning or crying to let her out so she can pee thanks again

A 5 week old is just a baby. There is no way it can hold it longer than 2-3 hours. At this age you have to let it out to go to the bathroom. If you let it get into the habit of messing its crate, it will be a nearly impossible habit to break.
Its neither here nor there, and there is nothing to be done now, but 5 weeks old is too young... |

So you got this pup before it was even five weeks old? Wow, how did that happen? She's such a little, itty, bitty baby! Sure, she'll whine! Her bladder is dinky, she'll do this every night for the foreseeable future as well. Welcome to the exhaustion of puppy ownership. It won't get any better for awhile.

Iagree with the above,,definately at 5 weeks, she has to go when she has to go and it's best to get up and take her out. You definately don't want her to start messing in her crate because then she'll think it's ok to do so and you'll have a heck of a time breaking that.
Who ever told you to let her just mess her crate, I would ask them if THEY would like to come clean it and her up everytime she does It is GOOD that she is letting you know by whining that she has to go potty..

If she doesn't want to soil where she sleeps, that's a good thing. If she has no choice because you stop taking her out at night you will severely set back her housetraining. She's going to get used to sleeping in her pee and poop and will stop bothering to whine to let you know she needs to go out because you will have taught her that it does no good. At her age she has very little bladder and bowel control so she'll need to go out very often. I'd be interested in hearing how you ended up with a puppy so young too. She really should still be with her mother and littermates. In many states it's illegal to sell a puppy younger than 8 weeks old. Are you in the U.S? If so, can I ask what state you're in?

Effie was eight weeks old when we got her. I got up with her a couple of times every night for probably two weeks. And then she could sleep for about 7 hours. If she was awake she still needed to go out every couple of hours. At five weeks I would say you should get used to getting up during the night for at least a month. She sounds really smart though if she is letting you know she needs out. She learned that really quick.

She is way too young to be away from her momma and her siblings, but I guess nothing can be done about it now. At her young age she needs to go out potty every 1/2 hour during waking hours to try to potty train her. During the night I would take mine out at least 4 times to keep him from having an accident in the house. Good luck with your little one, post pics if you would like to share.

I brought Knuckles home at 5 weeks, 2 months ago, and for the first couple weeks, there was no such thing as sleep. I was a walking zombie. Last meal was around 6, water taken away at 8:00. I still was getting up every 2-3 hours with him, sometimes more. By the time he was 8 weeks old, he was down to once a night, if that. (some will say that is still too young to go all night, but he did and was fine)
It IS too young to be taken away from mom & littermates at 5 weeks, but it can be done. It's A LOT of work, though. You have to figure out the difference between the "I'm awake and bored whine" and the "I have a full bladder whine". It's easy to figure out - one is a LOT louder!
