Default puppies real demeanor?

At roughly what age does a puppies real demeanor/drive show? My Angus is 14 almost 15 weeks and he seems like a low to mid drive pup he just likes to lay and chew for the most part. The breeder we got him from had 3 generations on premise and all seemed really mellow and friendly so I am hoping he is truly cut of the same cloth.

A GSD with no drive-who likes to lay and chew all day? Breeders intentionally breed for that?

perhaps I may have downplayed his puppiness but he is by no means high energy high drive. Angus likes to be a pup and play but he likes to spend about half his time just chewing on his kong, a stick, his stuffed dogs etc. etc.

To answer you question, my dogs personality was evident rather early on. The core of his personality was there since he was a couple months old. He changed in many ways of course, for example, when he was a young puppy-he loved strangers around a year or so he developed a wariness toward strangers. But you probably are getting a picture of what your dog is going to be like as an adult. Mine still hasn't calmed down and he will be 3 in January-so if your pup is calm he will probably stay calm.
