Default Bark to poop :)

SO I stop at Petco to get a can of wet food for my Maltese. I'm in the aisle, and the workers all come to greet Kira.
Kira turns and looks at me and barks.
They're like Whoa! ...What's that all about??...
To which I reply "She just told me she has to poop"

I went outside... She pooped

Just thought I'd share my "funny" for the day.

All is well

I am so connected with this little pooch, I always know what she's thinking.

I think you know what I'm talking about.

He facial expressions, her eyes, they speak volumes.

People think I'm nuts

That is so cool. Did you teach her or did she teach you?
That's a very handy trick.

She taught me!

She knows that she poops outside. When she has to go, she sits by the back door, and simply waits until someone notices.
If no one notices, she lets out this little pathetic half - puppy bark.... It's like "hey, i have to go, come on!"

I know that "bark" if I hear it, and that's how I knew what she wanted.

(I'm not bragging)... Last night I shocked my wife and kids... Kira knows that when I shut the family room lamp, and it's dark outside, it's bedtime.
We were sitting on the sofa, and it was time for bed. I'm usually the last one up, so they never saw this....
I shut the lamp, looked at Kira, and said "you know the routine". She looked at me, flopped her ears, put her head down, and slowly walked to her crate, and went to sleep.

My wife thinks I'm a miracle trainer... I have no idea how she learned that. I didn't teach her

anthony, I swear these dogs can make us look like the best trainers in the world, but we sometimes get that "off" moment, where we go bragging on them, and they decide to make us look like idiots LOL.. I'm glad 'most' of my moments have been "WOW how can I make my dog do that?" instead of "yeah sure right she knows how to do that"

I don't do tricks in front of anyone anymore. I swear they must say to themselves... "I'm gonna make my owner look like a complete fool" LOL
