It gets better. I have four, and I still have to remind myself that it does EVENTUALLY get better. My three adults are great. My 9 month old is into EVERYTHING right now. Nothing bad, just completely untrustable when out of eyesight. I adopted him at 8 months, totally untrained, so we have a lot of work to do. Lots and lots of exercise, lots of stimulation for pups (new people, places, things). Tons of toys are good.

Playmates, training classes, they are all good to have in a pups life.

Give her a peanut butter filled kong or a slow kibble release toy (I use kongs myself, but whatever works for you) for when you want some time to yourself and help her learn to entertain herself for a few minutes.

I'd PERSONALLY start ignoring the late night "let me out, I gotta potty" calls. At 5 months, even foster pups I haven't had long are holding it through the night, or at best they may get up once in the middle. This is one of those things where it's going to get worse before it gets better. Your pup will get louder and more upset than you've probably ever heard, the first few times you ignore her, but eventually she will understand that just because she whines doesn't mean you will immediately show up and let her out of her crate.

Never forget: A TIRED puppy is a well behaved puppy.

Again, I can't transport her to regular dog classes. We tried clicker training but it didn't work out because I kept loosing her clickers and people do not exactly appreciate the noise here. I have never really gotten the point of clicker training, or looked into it. I am still open to new ideas. I think the 'fun' tricks thing would be great for her. Family members would love to take part in this aswell! I guess we have already started this without thinking about it.. I will give Vida a peice of paper and get my mom to call her and release the letter. My last dog used to balance treats on her muzzle. I tried this with Vida but she doesn't so much like her muzzle being held to learn it!! A lot of people ask if she rolls over, or plays dead. I will look into this! Right now I am seeing in my cousin would like to go for easy hikes with Vida and I.
Thank you for the suggestions and videos. All very helpful!

With her getting up in the night.. my cat usually contributes and wakes us both us by scratching something or hitting something to be let out, and then when she gets let out, I usually get up for a drink and to keep Vida from waking everybody up, I don't see much harm in letting her come out for a sip of water. Honestly, there is a list of things that make me take Vida out of her crate. Sometimes she will be out of her crate sleeping on the bed with me, and I'll wake up and she will be in her crate, sleeping. So I close it, and she realises what I do. But really.. the cat usually wants in or out and Vida will wakeup at the drop of a pin!

Okay okay. I've got it: I'm in denial. If she does a wrong behavior, it is not her fault it is MY fault for a. not giving her enough 'room to grow' and b. for letting it happen in the first place!
I need to definetly take her to new places even if it is a long walk to them. I definetly didn't get a puppy to have her repeat the same routine. I felt like I needed something that I was missing, my own dog to take care of, be responsible for..
Now how responsible is it to make excuses for her? Not very!
Tony3toes (I am so sorry I just forgot your user..) don't sweat it. I didn't mean it to make you feel bad or anything (if you did) or re-think what you said. I was just sayin'.
Anyways, confirmed that we are going on a hike this week when I am off. Excitinng
