Diet good?
I have two 9.5 week old puppies, brother and sister. I feed them 3 times a day. Here is what their menu looks like (for each puppy):
Breakfast: 9 tsp cottage cheese + 9 tsp plain yogurt + 1 egg yolk + carrot/apple
1/3 lb raw ground beef + egg yolk

Lunch: 1-3 small raw chicken backs

Dinner: 1 frozen sardine or 1/3 lb raw green tripe or 1/5 lb lamb/goat neck or 1/3 lb heart

RMBs between meals

What do you think?

Boy currently weighs 22 lbs , girl weighs 17 lbs.

Dogs do not need dairy (cottage cheese / yogurt) nor fruits or veggies.

The rest of the diet looks good. The amounts - you feed however much is needed to keep the puppy at a good weight.

I do add more food if they are still hungry. How much do you suggest I should feed them?

When I took them to the vet last week for their shots the vet said they are pretty big for their age.

The only issue I am experiencing though is with the female, she has become picky with her food, unlike the boy. She used to eat anything before turning 8 weeks old, she only likes red meat now (beef, lamb, goat). Would it be fine if she only eats that stuff?

I don't think there's anything wrong with giving puppies yogurt & cottage cheese. Both are excellent sources of vitamins, biologically available calcium & high quality protein. Even adult dogs usually do all right with smaller portions.

looks like a varied and healthy meal plan

Dairy is not really needed in the diet, nor are the vegetables. If you continue to feed them the dairy (which is fine), I would just keep an eye on how they continue to digest it as they grow older. Mammals, in general (except some humans), are lactose intolerant and cannot digest dairy.

As far as your female just consuming red meat, it is okay, but make sure you are able to substitute it on occasion with some white meat, as well as organ and bone.

I like to have the ratio around 80% raw meat, 10% organ and 10% bone.

I also recommend using green tripe whenever you can get your hands on it. It is great for digestion!

I didn't say there was anything 'wrong' with giving dairy - just that it is not a necessary part of a dogs diet once they stop nursing.
