Size of bone for puppy?

I was just wondering what size of bone would be safe to give to a puppy (9 weeks) just for chewing purposes? I was thinking about going with the soup bones you can buy at the grocery store (as they're quite a bit cheaper than the ones at the pet store) but would those be too big? She would always be supervised when she had it of course. Is there such a thing as a too big bone when we're talking chew thing/toy? Also, and what age would chicken feet be appropriate? (again this would be as the occasional treat).

Raw shank bones, knuckle (soup) bones should both work. I have also fed veal soup and neck bones.

Chicken feet aren't huge so the pup should be able to handle them now. I have not fed them to puppies before.

An 8 week old GSD puppy should be able to eat a chicken leg - the feet would be no problem!

Beef neck bones are great for puppies as they are usually too hard for them to really consume the whole bone but have lots of meat for long-time chewing.
