Default Raw Soup Bones

Hey All,

My GSD is now 3 months old today. I've given him 2 raw soup bones so far with no problems. I've been reading today that these bones can crack their teeth. Any thoughts on this? He seems to really like them and the breeder that I bought him from said its okay to give them. Anyone encounter broken teeth from raw soup bones?

Thanks

i think the chipped tooth is a matter of what kind of chewer
your dog is.

Probably a bit on the young side to worry about having the jaw force to break his teeth at this point.

I've given without a problem. However, the ones I would get are really meaty. Whereas I have seen some that are mostly bone with very little meat and I can imagine that causing a problem. I think it is a know thy dog thing

No, but I do limit chewing to under one hour max. Also I freeze the bones before giving them to make them last longer so they're working harder at getting the marrow/meat off then just chewing the actual bone itself

Would this be ok for a 9week old? I have several beef neck bones in my freezer that I will likely never use.
