Default How close to whelping?

If my gsd is almost in 9weeks of her pregnacy and I feel the pups moving closer to her bottom doesn't that mean they are getting positioned for the birth. I checked her temp this morning it was 101°and a hour ago it was 99.4 .Is she coming into labor yet ?and if so how soon?

temp drops close to birth, she will get more restless, building a nest etc. But just observing her is the best thing you can do and not leaving her alone anymore.
I once fostered a pregnant stray, never knew when her pups were due but when she tried to dig a hole under the chicken coop and her temp. dropped her pups were born that night. I saw the pups move inside her for several weeks so that is not an indication how close she is. Maybe the more experienced breeders can chime in. Make sure you have the vet's number on speed dial.
Enjoy this journey!

Wow, I think we all missed it, the first time you posted.

Have you been checking her temp twice a day?

Its 63 days from the day of ovulation, not the day she was mated. So, unless you did specific progesterone testing until you determined the day of ovulation, then you just have to monitor the temperature and behavior, and be prepared.
