You mean start to feed them solid food instead of milk? They are too young still, IMO.

20 days...almost 3 weeks old is very young. Is there a reason you need to help her? Is she struggling to feed them all, or is there some other reason? If there is, you can feed baby puppies Goat milk. We actually buy goat milk formula from the feed store for emergencies and also to start the weeeeeeeeening...but not at 3 weeks. :)

Goat milk is safe though if there is a problem with Mama feeding them herself or if your vet has advised this for some reason. You can also buy puppy milk replacer formula but goat milk formula is just as good and much cheaper.

Share why they are needing it. :)

We started feeding our 3 week old puppies food when the mother stopped nursing them less and less. I think they were weaned by about 4 weeks.
