I will probably let them in the kitchen and block access somehow to the dining/living room.
I think I have homes for almost all of them, many friends and family want them. Someone is coming over on Saturday actually cuz she's been dying to see them in person. We have talked about keeping one. We are just sooo worried that Heidi just will never accept Sasha, etc. and we will have to re-home her. And if that were to happen ( ), we for sure would kick ourselves for not keeping a puppy if that were to happen. I liked the big guy (black collar) until I saw he was a troublemaker. I want a laidback pup if we did keep one. The red collar boy always comes by me, so it might be between them. Want to see their personalities first ![]() Heidi is really good with the kids holding the pups. My son has really stepped up, he's helped so much. My son has helped feed, change sheets, etc. He even said, mom, let's get another pregnant dog. I was like, NO, NEVER AGAIN. He thinks this is all fun and he can't wait til they are running around. And I said, yes, until they chew one of your shoes or something. Ha. Last edited by pinklady; 01-07-2013 at 03:08 PM. |

He's 10. He thinks he's funny too
![]() My mom might take one, which I think would be cool so I can see it grow up. The runt seems to be a popular one, the girl coming to look at them on Saturday likes the runt. My mom also said she liked him too. Here are some pix of my son 'supervising' my husband's work. |

At what point should the puppies be handled regularly by myself and the family? They will be 3 weeks tomorrow. Also, friends and family are asking to come see them, are they still too young for that? I've read so many different things online about what is right and wrong and my head is spinning. I really really want to make sure they are properly socialized.

You won't do anything wrong. You are amazing. I can't help you, but if you don't get a response soon, PM one of the breeders - like selzer or carmspak.

My breeder allowed me to visit at three weeks, you just need to take precautions of having no shoes and always clean washed hands around the puppies to limit any outside germs

Thanks, did the breeder allow you to hold them? Or just watch them?
I've been having my kids wash or sanitize their hands after they pet or touch them. My son was freaked and called me asking if he's going to have worms cuz he ate a donut after petting one of them on the head. So now he's super careful.
