Is my dog a german shepard?

I adopted the pup from a local lady, Lexi here was part of 16 pups in a litter. I saw the mother and she was a brown/black gsd, lady claimed the father was a black/tan gsd but he wasn't home at the time..

She is currently 3 and a half months, on 27th of March she will be 4 months..

Will her ears go up eventually, I've included progression pics.. the last snow pic is from today.

I've seen one of the ears go up occasionally, but I don't know own if my mind is playing tricks on me..

How mysterious that dad wan't home at the time of adoption. Looks like she could have some Labrador in her. I wouldn't worry about it. I guess you took her because you liked her, purebred or not. You never know without papers. Any chance you could figure out if there are any intact males in that area that could have stopped by seven months ago? A litter can have several sires as they ovulate for several days.

Well, you know Mom is a GSD, so your pup is at least half GSD. That's not too shabby. Her ears may, or may not go up. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. You have a beautiful pup there. Enjoy her. Train her well and you will have an amazing dog.

Looks like some lab in her, but the ears look like they're standing off her head, so it's very possible they'll still come up.

A litter can have multiple sires, yes. I'd have to agree with everyone else, your sweet puppy is at least half GSD, but how cute Lexi is! Enjoy her and stay with the forum! You don't have to have a purebred to be a member.

If mom was GSD... using your example, yes the litter would consist of GSD x lab pups, GSD x husky pups and GSD x pit bull pups.... but not GSD x lab x husky x pit bull all mixed up in the same dog.
