Just got his boy three weeks ago from a local rescue. He is 13 months in this picture. Quite a handful super high prey drive, stubborn.
A lot of training being done, he didn't know anything as he was chained up in a backyard and just left there. A little dog aggressive
A beautiful boy! Glad you know what you got into and that they were so honest about him. Chained in a backyard he probably doesn't know how to even meet other dogs.
So far I've taught sitz, platz, komm, and bleibe. His komm and bleibe still needs work. He is pretty much housebroken now as well. he's learned a lot in 3 weeks.
Unfortunately his dog on dog manners seem worse now. Do you think a muzzle would help or make things worse? I hear both sides.
Foos still needs a lot of work, he sort of gets it, especially on the left turns after his right front foot got accidentally stepped on
Taking him to another trainer (ex police dog trainer) on the 5th of November.
Here is a couple more pics (cellphone)
What a gorgeous dog! I love bicolors. I had one years ago.
You have only had this dog for three weeks. He is still getting used to things. Be kind and be patient.
Take some time to really bond with him. Do special things with him, take him to the river, or a nice trail in the mountains, create positive experiences.
Beautiful dog, its great that you rescued him. Be patient and let the bonding take full effect; a young dog wants to play and explore being a dog. Have fun with him and everything else will follow.
