Melasa is a yearling now
Still a hardhead in some aspects of training.
Still fearless (maybe not good thing must be the czech lines)
LOL. Has to work to get him to play right. Can throw it herself now
Our Pretty Protector
What a lovely gsd is Melissa  And has a wonderful spirit - better bold than fearful anyday!
That is one happy dog that is obvious!
**a "certain" pit that rushed us at old address. ( Fixated on since she was 3 months old and NEVER let it go) But has no dog aggression otherwise.
**Weedeaters (argh she has a bite like my old pitty or more like Wolf hybrid! She broke it! I thought Shepherds were slashers but she hangs and swings on the neighbor's pit play tire when allowed)
**Fireworks. She was the most relaxed dog at July4th I EVER had except after Boo freaked she was on seek & destroy mode
**The vacuum has stay of execution but she is watching.... always watching... I just let my son leave to outside
My biggest fear is if she notices his cringing at revved motorcycles it will be next monster to slay :(
She is a also sneaky lil git, I just ordered custom measured basket muzzle to get her indoors again and keep her safe while social (she has been in run kennel for a couple. When not directly observed she sneaks to open dresser drawers and grab socks.. to eat. I do not want ER trip and tummy twist surgery. She also opens the fridge. I have the wriggle room to train her and the enforcing of her behavior during casual times.
She also notices EVERY thing. New person walking down street, different cars and does NOT like people loitering. All get a sharp "who goes there" bark (not the same as 'Mooom that cat is sitting here again" yap).
Land shark phase is over-WHEW!.. though I have to get her grabbing under control which she will ironically be trained later to do in controlled fashion.
She has a bit more drive than what her future school requires. Heh she might even flunk it. I'll have to find something for her to do if that happens LOL. I wouldn't want total can-archy to reign
She is certainly talented, intelligent, and high drive - great combination but a training challenge especially at a year-old. I think she would excel at agility, schutzhund, sar.
