Medium hair or long hair you will know better when he finishes changing his hair (stops shedding) whcih will start at the age of 3-4 months and end at 7-9 months but he is not a short hair that's for sure

I would wait a few more weeks then look again. They change so much. Jonas was a cute fuzzy pup like that once, then he turned into a German Shepherd
