Adventures in DC!

This weekend I took Isen to the captial. With all the tourists, it's perfect for working on OB! He did great :) He's getting to the point in training where he is not breaking a command until I release him. One thing I noticed, people no longer ask to pet him...gone is my handsome fuzzy puppy that everyone wants to pet. He is very intimidating looking. Little do they know he LOVES people...below are some pictures I took from our adventure.

I don't blame you not wanting to battle that traffic. We were there by 7:30 AM. If you get there early, then you miss all the traffic and it's really not bad. Plus parking is free on the weekends on the National Mall. Due to Isen's age, we were there maybe 1.5 hours and only walked around the capital and a quarter of the mall. Not really far (about 1.5 miles), taking a 20 mintue break in between. I love taking the dogs there. I'm sure there are places where you all are now that are exciting to explore. I find as long as its different, the dog love it : )

Nice shots. thanks for sharing.

I've been meaning to take Linus to DC but haven't do so yet.

By the way, the FDR Memorial permits dogs--it's an outdoor exhibit near the Jefferson Memorial. Also, Haines Point is a great place for a long walk by the river.

Very handsome boy!!! It has been years since I went into DC with a dog to walk around. It is a fairly dog friendly city. You may have inspired me to take a day trip before winter starts.
