Default Suspicious Activity at Our Home

Back on Monday, June 30th, my lovely wife was cleaning house, and when she went back towards the door to the garage she found evidence of some suspicious activity. This carpet with the suspicious tracks is at the junction of the hall coming from the kitchen to the mud-room/storage room, and the door to the garage.

She looked further into the mud-room and found the positive evidence of the crime.

On Sunday, we had brought home from Church the food which had been collected in the Church's food basket. I unloaded the food from the car that Monday morning before I went to work and my wife takes it to the local food pantry on Wednesday, the only day they'll accept food donations. The violated and pilfered food was a 5 pound bag of flour.

Okay, time to round up the usual suspects:

Was it Zera? Probably not, since the suspect's tracks appeared quite a bit larger than hers. A quick check revealed her innocence, although she WAS caught sleeping on the bed, yet again.

Was it Griff? He has the right size paws. Nope, he's innocent. But that look leads me to believe that he probably knew who the guilty party was.

That left only one other possible suspect. Alright.... Where's Cowboy?

Hmmmmmmmmmm........ What do you think?........ I love this pic. Note also the flour on the paws.....

Cowboy's got that "Who, me????" look perfected... Or is that a "Yeah, I did it... What's it to ya?" look?

I asked my wife how much flour he'd eaten. "Ohhhhh, About enough for a few good sized biscuits." Made some interesting poop the next day.......

At the time we didn't know our buddy Cowboy was eaten up with cancer. Y'all may have seen my earlier post in the "In Loving Memory" forum - we had to put him down exactly two weeks later on July 14th when the cancer got to his spinal cord and paralyzed his rear legs and started causing him great pain and suffering.

He was such a good old rogue. We miss him dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. This was a great read for me! Such suspense!!! Those pics with the story were great. Oh that face full of flour and looking so innocent. It brings home the fact we have to enjoy every minute we can as we never know what is around the corner for any of us and our wonderful pets!!

Your story beats The first 48 Hours any day. Cowboy knew he was so cute he didn't have to worry about no evidence.
