Look who's home!

Well, the 14 hour round trip drive yesterday was a success and he is a PERFECT traveler. He turned 8 weeks old on the 4th of July and we got to pick him up yesterday afternoon. No accidents in the car and no car sickness! He slept almost the whole way. We got home, our 14 year old cocker spaniel loves him and so does our 19 year old cat. The 7 month old kitten hates him and won't even stay in the same room with him. She's been hiding since he got home last night, however, was a totally different story. He had been exposed to his crate on the car ride home and had spent about half the time in it sleeping. We tired him out, let him outside to potty for the last time, let him kennel himself and shut the door. You would have thought it was the end of the world. I have never heard a puppy scream like he did and he didn't stop for a very very long time. He would wake up every thirty minutes and it would start again. Needless to say, it wasn't a very good first night. He's done well today but he doesn't seem to have any interest in listening to you when you talk to him. He hasn't had an accident in the house and has been really good about chewing his toys only. I'm almost settled on his name being August but it's between that and Sieben. We'll see which fits best. Anyways, introducing the new baby!
