What do you think he is mixed with?

Hi,
This is my first post (I hope this is the correct forum)
We have been looking to adopt a rescue purebred GSD puppy for some time now.
This puppy popped up at the local kill shelter.
They think he is 14 weeks and mixed.
What do you think he could be mixed with?
Thank you

It's hard to say from that picture. Mostly GSD. Though something does seem to be just slightly off...small portion lab mix maybe? And I would say he looks closer to five or six months rather than 14 weeks.

If you are set on purebred, have you looked into a breed specific rescue?

Looks purebred to me but it's difficult to tell from that picture.

If I had to guess I'd say he was mixed with another gsd.

My furs are not in storage, nor draped across the bed. They're peering out the kennel door just waiting to be fed.

Looks purebred, but could be mix. Either way has GSD in it for sure.

They both look purebred. the younger one is a little hard to guess as you might see him change as he grows.

it is hard to say on the 2nd one
if you want a purebred and not a mix you may need to search at breed rescues or adopt an older dog say older than 6mos
it is tough to find purebred baby puppies at shelters
not unheard of depending on your area though
