Default New pic while Morel hunting

Anyone ever actually find these mushrooms. I need to train him to sniff them out for me because I can't find them anywhere. But had fun anyway.

Yuck, I am not fond of snakes!

We found about 3 dozen or so morels this year. The problem was that we only found one or two in each spot! It took a lot of hunting to find the 36 we did find!

I saved a few back and dried them for scent work with my dog. The season is just too short that there is not much opportunity to work on it with fresh ones. I don't know if the dried ones will work or not.

I was thinking the same thing, that the short season would make training tough. If it worKs to use dried ones that's a good idea.
