Finally some off leash time - morning pics

After 4 months of exercise restriction due to an inflamed knee, the limping is finally over, still sometimes stiff upon arising, we had Molly chase a ball a little bit last night and a little this morning. Now is 5 hours post exercise and still no soreness, so far so good!

Beach? Did you say beach?

Oh I recognize that face. I love seeing Molly's pics she always looks so happy. So glad she's feeling better.

Thanks!

We call Molly, "Jolly" because she's usually so happy! We hoping to do more intense exercise because Molly's gained 3 lbs since her surgery last year, walking alone just doesn't cut it plus we've reduced her food at mealtime.

I must have missed she had surgery. What happened?

Molly had a TPLO surgery to repair an acl tear.

Nice pictures, good to see Molly get some freedom, Ranger is about a month out now.

Ouch, poor girl. I've heard those take awhile. So glad she's on the mend. Now we can see more pics.

Thanks Nigel for responding, I had to leave for a while.
Molly had her surgery March 2013, recovered well, then in December was too active one day and re-injured her surgical knee. The ortho vet said there was minimal fluid and swelling, but it seemed to take a long time for recovery. We were getting impatient, but will still increase exercise gradually so not to cause inflammation again.

I may have asked this before, was there anything specific Molly did to re-injure her leg? Our ortho already said Ranger can return to normal activity, but the PT vet says he's about 95% ready.

Im a bit jealous of your ocean/beach pictures, none of my current dogs have been to the ocean. My lab and malamute both loved water, I took them to the Washington coast/peninsula. They ran across the beach, into the water and quickly looked to me with a disgusted look on their face, lol this is bad water!

She re-injured after letting her play too much at a dog park. That day we also did a 3 mile walk, but that wasn't unusually, we walked 3-4 miles with her before, once the ortho vet said she was OK.
This dog park is small but unfenced plus there are squirrels to chase. It is in a very nice neighborhood and has a very good vibe to it. So naturally Molly's play was a bit exuberant, all the quick turning motion, standing up on hind legs probably was too stressful on her knee. Next time we go there we are driving, not walking and only five minutes of play.

WOW!!!! Molly sure is a looker.I know I'm not suppose to ask a lady but I'm wondering what is her age? I can't wait to take my pup to dog beach here in Huntington Beach,he loves water so I'm sure he'll go crazy.
Go Molly!!!!!
