Patton's new Elitek9 ball

Just got my order for a new ball on a rope for Patty (and a dirt cheap Tee for myself!) and got to work his first heelwork session with it today.

Wow. I love having a tug and ball driven dog. Worked wonders for getting a little flashier obedience and focus on me instead of my hands. He rocked our ~10 minute session, lost a few teeth, and now he's comatose. I'm impressed.

Hoping to get some video of our session up later!

I love elite k9! I have 3 of those things myself without the rope. I haven't tought my dog to fetch properly yet though...ugh...though I really should. Just too darn lazy too sometimes lol. I also got him one of the shammies, and a jute stick from Leerburg I think like 12". I believe Elitek9 has one as well though. That reminds me I need to order my pup a new collar and leash from elite k9! Haha

They have great stuff for great prices, that's for sure. I have a Jute stick from leerburg around somewhere, too. I tend to like wipe-able toys more, though. Blood and jute just doesn't seem to mix, ya know? ;)

I'm also really lucky that I didn't have to teach Patton to fetch, informally. If I throw a toy for him, he brings it back, and is happy to bring this back to me for tugging, too! (better than my almost 2y/o border collie!)

I love the good quality ball on rope combos. Such a versatile and portable tool and most of all - fun! :D

Legend's ball drive just "came in" too! Trying to get through this week with the crappy weather and the dog show and then start some IPO type obedience and tracking with him.

Handsome pup!

Rusty would sell his soul to the devil for that Elite k9 ball. It's his FAVORITE.

Love the pics! I got a similar ball with a wooden handle, but Dinozzo likes the handle more. :(

I think that is going to be how Patton ends up. I was having a hard time outing him and he had no interest for treats during our FIRST session with this earlier.
