Default Does this shade cover look tacky?

I'm not much of a decorator so I was trying to figure out if this shade cover triangle cloth thingy looks tacky...we are going to put another one up...what do you think? It's actually not as functional as I thought it would be in terms of providing shade...it was only $20...suggestions?

Also, most of the time, the picture attachment section only uploads one photo even though I ask it to upload more... What's up with that?

lol...thanks for the honesty...I've got really bad judgement for this kind of stuff...I'm also concerned about when it rains if it'll collect water and come crashing down.

I've no idea what to replace it with though...? We want to build patio cover and are saving up but you know how that goes...

Awnings can go both ways we threw ours out when we moved but we did have a covered canopy that was not so expensive, we put some nice patio furniture in it and added night lights the string ones and on the other side of the deck we had a brekky table,
If you continue to use the shade angle it so so the water drips off in a corner away from your home!

Should have been lighting specific, we had the roll but ours were just basic soft white,
I love the the second picture though,
You could also do chinese lanterns which if you dont go over the top insane with colors they can be really tasteful too,
