Default My Dutch Shepherd "Chanel"

It's been awhile since I've posted pics of Chanel here. She turned a year old last November and has developed into a beautiful dog. Active and alert, I currently have her in an agility class and plan on competing with her in agility later this year, as well as dock jumping and conformation. Also plan on doing some protection work with her this year. She earned her Championship title a day shy of her 1st birthday.

These pictures of her were all taken either this weekend or a couple of weeks ago.

Pretty in pink!

I took this shot of her just this morning. She seems to thrive in the snow and cold.

She looks like she is smiling to me in this pic.

This shot is from a couple weeks ago....it was a cloudy day so her coloring is more muted. Neverthless, this is one of my all-time favorite photos of her.

Snow shark alert! The snow is deep here in Michigan and Chanel loves to tunnel under it and then run, with her head completely submerged. LOL

Oh. My.

The digi-camo the military has cooked up can't hold a candle to that coat. She is one of the most stunning dogs I have ever laid eyes on. Her structure screams athletic, sleek and sturdy looking, oh man man man, I want a Dutchie now.

Looks like a Hyena made it with a Mal or something, that chest/neck has me transfixed.

What's her in home life like? With those eyes I'm going to guess she socializes pretty intensely, not forcing interaction but when she does interact it's 110% and hyper-focused? My Mal was that way, nothing would be done at anything less than max effort. If she cuddles and acts silly around her people I'm going to find a Dutchie.

She is beautiful--and as classy as her name! Tell me, did you find her in Michigan? Is there actually a breeder here in Michigan??

There are a couple few Dutchie breeders that I know of.
Where Chanel is from> Our Dutch Shepherds Earn their STRIPES! at Cher Car Kennels
This one recently changed hands(original owner moved back to the Netherlands) I know a couple of the dogs, and they are very nice KNPV lines: BunkerdogsUSA
If you are on fb there is a page w/dog sport enthusiasts, another breeder is on there, but I can't vouche for his breedings as I haven't seen them work or train. https://www.facebook.com/groups/109903339084373/

I love your photos, you have such a beautiful dog. The breeder we got our GSD from also bred Dutch Shepherds, I never even heard of them before. The ones I've met had great temperaments. Really nice dogs, and very active.
