Mark and Gunner do this all the time. For the last few years we've watched tv in the living room. Mark had the couch (with Gunner) and I (having back problems) sat in a recliner with lumbar support.

So recently we bought a couch and loveseat for the family room (and a new tv). Hubby has the couch, me the loveseat.
I've had Gunner come up on the loveseat with me but he rarely lays down since it's much smaller.

Last night he came up, plopped down and laid his head on my leg. I loved it! I don't get this often. I turned off my laptop and reclined. Within seconds he rearranged himself and I put my arm around his body. His head was on my chest, his front leg on my waist. I had such a huge smile on my face. After 5 years I finally had his snuggling with me. He stayed for over an hour, snoring like a mofo. We've sat on the couch in the living room and he's put his head on my lap but this was the first real snuggle.

There is nothing like curling up with a dog to nap, unless it's more than one dog. Mine stretch out along my sides at night. I have two hands and two dogs, it works out rather well. Once they get comfy and I have quit wiggling they both will take that big breath and then *sigh* and I'm out like a light. Cable on my left, Allie on my right.

I have a tough time sleeping when out of town. I wake up feeling for the dogs.

Roxy doesn't cuddle like that. she will lay on the floor beside the couch but can't get her to cuddle or lay with me on the couch...I have been trying..it's been like 30 below .I could have used the extra warmth
