Default Here is Penny!!! (7 Weeks Old)

We picked up Penny last week right before Thanksgiving. She has been a great puppy. We have her crate trained which took maybe 3 days. Still working on potty training...any tips?

Going to grandmas!

Helping me with my homework!

Hangin out in the kitchen!

Playing outside with her favorite buddy Scrappy!

Look at my manners!

I took both of my GSDs outside every 20-30 minutes when they were pups. When they finished eating and drinking I took them outside after 5 minutes. If they pottied in the house I scolded them and put them outside. Varick has been potty trained since about 6 months and has had only 3 accidents in the house altogether.

Love her!

I pretty much crated and did what HarleyTheGSD suggested. Just takes time, and patience and time and patience....

Make sure you have closed doors and baby gates utilized to keep the puppy always in the room with you. Timing and our attentiveness also help.

We have been doing everything you mentioned. But sometimes I find random puddles and I don't feel like I can punish her unless she is caught in the act. I know it will take times it is just frustrating sometimes.

I raise 4 GSDs from pups, if they peed or pooped in the house I would rub their nose in it and put them outside, they learned quick.

Please don't follow this advice, its abusive and makes no sense.

Keep eyes on puppy at all times so they cannot have accidents you don't see. Lots of trips outside and tons of praise when they potty outside.
