Hiking Day with Trent!
A few weeks ago we took advantage of the nice weather and went hiking with Trent at Silver Falls. It was his first time hiking in years, and we all had a lot of fun.
Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures, because I just cannot adjust my camera settings quickly enough to catch up with the lighting changes (under the shade to in the sun to back in the shade, etc.). Hopefully I'll do better next time, but here are a few pictures from our day!
Posing for a quick picture
Taking a short break
Love the scenery! And it looks like Trent agrees.
THIS is where he gave me a heart attack. On the other side of this look out point is a million meter drop straight to the bottom. Recently I've been asking Trent to jump on platforms/table tops/chairs for fun, and he got the idea that I wanted him to jump on this, too. I think my mother and I actually screamed when he hopped up.
I immediately demanded that he come back down... after I got a snapshot, of course!
"It's not that high..."
This was the view... I didn't even look over far enough to see the bottom because I was so terrified.
The smug boy
Cooling off after the hike
Took a quick picture together! We're both exhausted from our 4-5 hour hike.
Some other pictures from the hike:
One of the many waterfalls along the trails
And okay, this was from a different hike, but I'm including this little guy anyway!
All in all a great day! We'll definitely be going more often.
Those are some great pictures and that is a handsome fella you got there.
Those are great photos! I really like Trent. :)
What a good looking man! Love his personalized collar too!
Wow! Wonderful photos & hiking area. Your dog is handsome and that squirrel is so adorable!
Great pics, area looks wonderful, is that in Oregon?
I love the "headless" shot looking over the edge, I had to look twice:).
And yes, that squirrel was awfully cute, too :) Really glad I got close enough for pictures!
And I never noticed that, but it does look like he's headless! LOL!
Lovely pictures and what a great place to hike! Super jealous!
I went on a short city hike with Pup this weekend and she did the exact same thing! While I could see the bottom of my hill (a good 20 meters at least), I was also scared into shirtless when she climbed and prepared to jump. Once, she jumped off of 3-4 meters into the river beneath. I don't understand the attraction.
And let me know when you figure it out  Luckily for me Trent isn't as enthusiastic to be jumping off things as he is up them (or over them, which I guess is almost worse!!). I was just leaning over to take a quick peek at the view, and suddenly Trent popped up right beside me, shoulder to shoulder. I'm completely terrified of heights, so that just made all of it 10x worse for me. He thought it was great fun, though.
And okay, I probably shouldn't have laughed about it afterwards, because he finds that terribly rewarding. I'm just glad I was holding on tightly to the leash!!
Wow what a beautiful spot for hiking great pictures, Trent is awfully cute in all the pictures looks like a fun day :)
