I searched and didn't find any horse threads..
My new guy was introduced to our horses this weekend..(they are at my dads place). He did much better than I thought he would.. Not as much aggressive barking as trying to get them to play! Especially the mini's.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

..I guess I should add, the horses are all very used to dogs. There are 6 dogs currently at the farm, one foster, and there have been quite a few other fosters over the years.. We often call the 2 smallest dogs gnats, because ironically they are the ones that try to herd the horses, and the horses never bat an eye. A toy mini Aussie and a Dorgi, silly pups.

Awh! He looks like he is enjoying it and starting to get into the groove of being around horses. I bet he was saying, " Oh, you're my size! " to the Mini! lol

nice, but you won't really know what he is really like untill the horses are running around the field, will he chase, be able to be recalled etc.
better to know these things when you are controlling the situation. BTW i got a personal problem with chestnuts, i swear they are gentically crazy. might be just my bad experiences tho :-) |

That mini with the flaxen mane and tail is a brat! Her thing is pretending to be super sweet, and then pinning her ears and nipping when you least expect it.(people, horses, dogs..) Thanks.. Hoping more people post! I can't be the only gsd owner with horses on this site.. Quote:

Lol. I like your post about the super sweet horse that nips. I tried to volunteer at a horse therapy place but couldn't handle the creatures. They are majestic to me but honestly their size, and the possibility of being kicked or nipped terrified me. Lol c:
