Default Does your GSD do this?

Does anyone else have a dog that does this? Sasha loves blocks of wood. She just carries it around the yard when making her rounds, 2x4, tree branches and a block of wood. Doesn't matter if the temperature is hot, snowing or raining.

Oh yes, sage loves to pick up the biggest tree branch possible, she then trots around the yard with her head held high and this look in her eye that says she is very proud of what she has! It cracks me up every time

I'm in the middle of a long-term project at home right now. Everytime I cut a piece of wood Lisl is there to pick up the scraps.

One time she ran off with a piece I needed that just happened to be small enough for her to pick up. She hid it behind the couch.

Lol Sasha brought back what looked like a small tree. Never had a dog do this before but we always thought she was special. Lol. She also sticks her foot in the water dish too. I get it when it's cold but in the summer too?

Beau collects all the dead tree limbs and brings them over by the back door.

Yes. A stick is his very favorite thing. Bad thing is over the years he has worn down and chipped his big 4 front teeth from chewing on them. Let him alone for a couple minutes and hes doing his best beaver impersonation on them. The 2nd pick in the snow he has his paw on a 3 or so inch thick branch from a tree....

Yes, Tony loves big sticks. I was at dog park and my knee starting acting up so I sat down. Tony went into some bushes and I heard him rustling around and I thought he had found a dog to play with, when he came out of the bushes with this in his mouth. I about died laughing.

We have a stump in our yard from a tree we cut down last summer, Its Lilys favorite toy, she has actually removed half of the stump. This was a hundred and fifty year old tree that was big. My husband calls her our "stump removal tool" Everytime she breaks off a big chunk she struts around the yard with it in her mouth, its so funny.
