I live on the island next door to you and we've been toying with the idea of taking a holiday in the South of France. I'd love it if we could bring our two GSDs, but I wasn't sure if they'd be allowed on the ferry because it's an overnight trip from Wexford to France.

Thanks ![]() Yes i brought them on the ferry from Dover to Calais. All They needed is first a passport (£70 for one, valid for life) plus microchip (£60) and then a rabbies shot (has to be done 21 days prior the departure, £45, and it's valid for 3 years) and also they needed deworming (about 48h before departure and has to be done by the vet, the cost is about £12 for a 45kg dog plus the cost of the vet consultation). But in all fairness, when i got to the ferry to go to France, they didn't even check the pets papers... I think it's more for when you come back. Once on the ferry, they have to stay in the car and their ticket was £15 each (which takes the pee as you can take 5 people in the car and pay the same price for the ticket if you go on your own plus they have to stay in the car. )Hope this helps. When do you plan to leave to France?
