Back after a Month

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I was on here, as a lot has happened in the past month.
We met Thor, and for whatever reason he did NOT like Koda. At all. After two hours of walking together he was still trying to start a fight.
After that, it seems it was a good thing it didn't work out. Some stuff has happened that has drastically changed our situation. For reasons I'd rather not specifically name, I am back at my parents house. I have around another month left of having to stay here. Matt cannot text, and only gets to call twice a week. I'm also able to visit twice a week.
These circumstances have had me very deeply depressed. His mom came to visit Friday night, at around 10 pm, saying she had a surprise for me. And what was that surprise? A sable female German shepherd puppy! Apparently Matt told his mom to pull money from his bank account and buy me a puppy, so that Koda and I would have a happy little baby to focus on. I visited him Saturday and he was disappointed in his mom (he had told her to pull enough to get one from a reputable breeder, and that it needed to be male). But. What's done is done and I'm already in love, as is Koda. We've named her Nashoba (Nash or Shoba for short).
She is surprisingly healthy, she had no worms or fleas when I took her to work yesterday. And she took her first shot like a champ. But, anyways, here are some pics of Koda, and some of Nashoba. And some of both.

They do! When we saw Matt yesterday, Koda lifted Shoba so he could see her. They're inseperable.

Thank you! We have confirmation that everything will go back to normal in 1 month (if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have kept Shoba... it wouldn't be fair). So for now I'm just trying to learn parallel parking to get my license, then fixing the expedition's flat tire, and picking up some extra hours at work (I got a raise, for anyone who's interested). While also looking for a new home to rent, without the help of the better half

It really sounds worse than it is (I wouldn't have said that two weeks ago lol), and I'm very optimistic.
