But can't decide which one i like better. I never shoot in B&W but for this one, I think I prefer it. Haven't gotten to do a lot of shooting recently due to weather so we've been stuck in the house!

Not usually a fan of B&W but in this case, the B&W is better. Conveys the mood.

To me.....

In the black and white photo, my attention is drawn the human. Your dog looks bored. Although a great picture..it doesn't do anything TO me.

The color shot..I love. My first thought is that your dog is 100% aware that I'm looking at the picture and letting me know that she is aware that I've invaded a private moment. Almost as if she was warning me. The human is in the background, clearly being guarded by the dog as she relaxes within her own thoughts.

I like both pictures, however, I agree that the "mood" is softer in the B&W. I also like the angle of the dogs nose better in the B&W. Both very nicely done though.

They are very similar but very different as well.
