Default My handsome man freshly bathed and brushed!

Took my pup to this really cool pet shop today, the type of store that doesn't carry Science diet and other junk like that. Anyways they had these self service dog wash stations that operated kind of like a car wash... put a coin in and get a 25 minute wash. You can turn the dial to pick different shampoos, to rinse and then dry... Whatever shampoo you pick automatically comes out of the hose along with warm water. I gave him the deshedding, flea and deodorizing wash and dried him in about 5 minutes with the blower, SO much easier on my back!

His adult strip of fur going along his spine is super shiny, the rest on his flank is puppy coat still clinging on for dear life.

Thanks, he smells so good too! He didn't think the experience was as neat as I did though until the pet shop clerk gave us some free samples of freeze dried raw meat to give him. Definitely going back to this store!

He looks great! How did he like it? We took Grim to one like that for his first bath right before we moved. He'd had a poo accident in his kennel. He acted like we were trying to kill him the entire time. He was griping and carrying on... until the blow dryer. Why on earth he liked that part is beyond me. It was loud, blowing on him... and he stood still and sat still for the first time. Overall, he was very dissatisfied with the experience. I loved it, though! I found a place the next town over that has the same set up. We'll be going this week... as we've had another diarrhea episode, and he smells RIPE! I do want to get video of this bath, though. We were wishing we'd have done that with the first one. I know he was mad, but everyone was laughing about it.

He didn't care for it, he's very vocal though so I'm kind of used to him whining... He even whines when I'm petting and loving on him.

Had my husband feeding him nums while I washed him, he calmed down then and let me do whatever... He did NOT care for the dryer. Next time I'll bring a bag of hot dogs lol, this time wasn't planned. If I ever win the lottery I will install something like that at home.

LOL if there was a puddle anywhere near he'd be in it and my floors would be sopping wet and muddy again like a few weeks ago when it rained a whole bunch. Left him outside for a quick second to go get my shoes, come back and he's just digging and splashing away in a giant puddle.

Such a cutie! Our last GSD, every time we washed her at the selfservice place she would put on such a show that people would come to check on us to make sure we weren't hurting her.
