My thoughts exactly. Her breed deals with the same types of reputations as ours, but she is very hesitant and skiddish with Koda to this day. She refuses to give GSDs their bordetellas, always makes one of us do it. She's just terrified of them. And they know it.

We had a gorgeous black sable male come in for boarding, and he tried to bite her. I firmly believe it was the timid, slow way she approached him. Especially since he was calm with everyone else. Oh well. Can't force someone to love our breed.

This is true, but working with dogs is not a place where she should show any kind of fear, she is looking to get bit and bit real good. Here is a story and it happens to be with dobermans....we had a family that boarded their two dobes and they got along fine at home, but hated each other at the vetOf course my favorite was the one that started the trouble..the first day they boarded I was walking him and some guys from the bar started whistling and making me feel uncomfortable, that dog growled at them and shut them up immediately(yes on the first walk he protected me) Well anyways, another girl walked him first one morning, then continued to walk the second one. Well the first one(my hero) managed to open his kennel and attacked the second one. It was a nasty fight and the girl had a huge hole in her hand. It wasn't really fear on her part, but it was still dobes and not GSD's

Lol I would tell her that story, but she spooks easily and I don't want her to fear her own dog.

I just measured, and Koda is taller than I thought!!! She is 25" at the shoulder I guess I need to work on my in-mind measurements!

I think if your dog is well behaved,it makes work a lot more enjoyable. My husband and I have a motorcycle shop and it makes it a lot easier to have a couple of dogs in the shop to cut down on the stress.

My friend at work was able to talk our boss into letting her bring her dog one day(it was a dog that I got for her). The day flew by, when things were getting stressful, he was right there for you to pet. The owners of the company wouldn't have a problem with us bringing our dogs everyday....just the boss that is afraid of what the owners would say
