Brigitte, I was looking at the rescue's FB page and saw a post about Smokey, mentioned him going to a family that had lost 3 dogs to cancer last year- I just knew it was you and to come here and see that it is makes me so happy. Congrats to you and Smokey!!

The rescue contacted me and asked me to foster. I said I couldn't because any dog that comes into our house stays and we weren't ready. I offered to volunteer and walk dogs. The next morning Smokey was the first dog I walked. The rest is history. We adopted him.  He truly did rescue me though. We rescued each other. Such a good dog too. So smart and so mellow. Has a lot of drive when we are playing with his jolly ball though! He is very young the vet said. Only about 1 year. Pristine white teeth. We are going to spoil him rotten. I had missed this post until now..............but it is always nice to hear good news, even if a little late.
Smokey is a handsome guy---he looks intelligent, attentive and patient in the pictures. At least that is the feeling I get looking in his eyes in the photo. I am happy for all of you that you have found each other.
