We are considering Laika as our service dog for helping in mobility. Here are some pics. She was born in 2005 do you think her age is an issue?

By the time you train her and have her really ready to help you (assuming she has the appropriate temperament and capabilities), how old will she be? How difficult will the mobility work for her, physically? How long would you need a mobility dog for? Long-term, perhaps longer than she can help you? She's going on 8 years old--you might be able to work her another year or perhaps two, if the work is light, but maybe not--older dogs may not have the energy to work a full day or might find the public access work stressful or extremely tiring. But maybe she could be an interim dog while you train a younger dog? Just some things to think about.
