When we went to my old vet we were asked to do this. They had wilting flowers for vet technicians I guess. And even the vet preferred this.

Our new vet is awesome...Rebel just runs right up, sniffs the vet and the sweet young thing of a tech all over, jumps onto the table and they check him all over (including teeth and gums). The old vet tecs were so nervous around him (and my Corgi of all things) that they made HIM nervous.

I had a vet try to do that to Taz once, after I made them pet him, they quit charging at him with a muzzle. They tried it once again the next time there, after that I quit going to that vet.

Handsome boy, I had to laugh and my mind went immediately to Silence of the Lambs.

Oh, no, I put the muzzle on him for good reason.

Karen - That's what we said last year when I had to walk him in on his hind legs with his muzzle on. lol I brought his friend in with him this time and he was much better. He weighs 82.9 lbs as of today.

Is the embarassment the purple leash and collar?! He's handsome either way.

Miss Holly looks the same way at the vet.

Nothing wrong with a muzzle at the vet. Better to take away the options so the dog can relax and get the procedures over with. No harm no foul!
I have two that I routinely muzzle...one for good reason, one for good measure!

Mine has had to wear a muzzle at the vet too. Not for normal checkups but when he had a painful ear infection he was muzzled. I'd rather Dax wear a muzzle than for everyone to become extra worried that he might bite.

Your boy is beauuuutiful!!
