Av actually means aperture priority mode. It's the setting to adjust how wide your aperture is. The higher the number, the smaller the hole that the light goes through. The smaller the number, the bigger the hole. It's a lot harder to focus with the lower aperture setting (like around 2.8), but it's a great way to get pics in low light.

Yeppers! Makes for much prettier pictures when the background is blurry. Less distraction and more focus on the pretty dogs!

in late May or June we bought a Nikon D3100. 15 minutes
later the Nikon D3200 was available. . auto mode is mybest friend. nice looking dog. enjoy the camera.
