But... I gotta ask.... how often do you groom?! Every time I see a beautiful maine on a gorgeous LC GSD, I always think MATS from rough-housing with playmates or rolling around outside... lol.

Odi is blowing her summer coat,so she looks a
little shabby now,especially her butt fluffs are very
thin.

i brush her once a week usually and daily when she's blowing coat.

it may vary from dog to dog,but matting isn't problem for us.
i've seen just two tiny mats in her armpits so far.

but there are some plant species around,whose seeds are "designed" so to speak to stuck in coat.they're PITA.
