Default Jake - 9 Months

I haven't posted pictures of Jake in a while. He's 9 months old now, finally resolved his digestive issues (he had SIBO) and is growing like a weed!

Thanks ... It's nice to finally hear people say he looks healthy. 2 months ago he was underweight and didn't look well at all. I'm so relieved we finally figured out what was wrong.

I know people didn't mean to offend, but we heard over and over "why is he so skinny?" I guess we got self conscious and sensitive about it especially when we were working so closely with our vet to figure out what was wrong.

He's beautiful. I have a GSD that we got a couple of months ago. She was 19" tall at the withers and only 21lbs at 5 months old. She is now 8 months old and 22" and 35lbs. We had digestive problems also but working with our vet closely we got her on track. We had the same issue with people coming up and asking if she was a purebred or mistaking her for being 3 months old. It got old very quickly!! Glad to see he is doing better - how much does he weigh in these pictures?

Gorgeous dog! Yes, he looks super healthy! Glad you got it all worked out ... betcha he's a happy camper too!

Even though he was "skinny" ... most people think a healthy dog is too skinny! Unfortunately I see more fat dogs than I do healthy ones.
