Wink Spirit Working and More

I have so many pictures of my girl I thought I would just make a spot to share all her quirks lol

Recently on a walk we discovered a new toy. And it would have been just wrong to leave this poor tennis ball laying there all on it's own.

So we did what any good dog would do and decided to give it a home.
I wasn't to thrilled about having a ball that I didn't know where it came from coming into my house so I figured I'd just wait for her to drop it and forget about it....

One mile latter still making our way home I realized she was still carrying it. OH dear....

yep I lost the battle on this one... It is now a freshly cleaned and disinfected part of our found toy collection.

I just came in from the back yard with 2 very disappointed GSDs. I got their ball, a squeaky kong, stuck in the power line to the house. It's stuck where the wires split at the mast. They looked at me like, "you are going to save it right"? I have an idea to use the leaf blower, that way I don't need to touch it. Tennis balls and the like are very precious!

Leaf blower might work.

The way Spirit acts when she finds a tennis ball you would think she found a t bone steak!

What a cute story, pretty scenery and a BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY Spirit <3
I used to be able to walk my doggies off leash but there are so many squirrels since I moved, I can't trust them...
Is her recall good? I heart people with dogs with good recall.
My uncle lives on a similar street to yours in IN...are you in IN?!?

Well I live in Wisconsin and her recall and down are perfect. I can get her in a down mid chase of a rabbit. Have had to do it many times. No matter what is distracting her she always comes immediately when I call. I'm a retired Medical Service Dog trainer. So I guess I go a little insistent when it comes to commands but as you can see by the pictures I never push past what the dog is ready to do and accept.

I went to petco and picked up a few more toys, including a new squeaky kong, so they are happy now. I didn't want to make a bunch of noise with the blower yet. My neighbor works nights and we have a pretty solid "truce" (his late night stereo & my early morning chainsaw ect...) going on right now.

Hanging out at the table out back. We just saw a big scary pug. In her opinion it was ten feet tall and had 100 rows of razor teeth just waiting to get her.

Her buddy Monty a whole 4lbs is unimpressed

The hairless rat at my friends place is more her speed lol.
