Default Ruger's such a good boy!

Aww.
We have this puppy, she is a baby Pug x Frenchie.
She was thrown in a dumpster and rescued out of it two weeks ago. She had a severe eye infection and has lost her right eye because of it.
Anyway she weighed 1.5lb. at the time of her surgery two weeks ago, and she's closer to 2 - 2 1/2.

Ruger's keeping her company in this pic. She's SO little and he's so clumsy I'm afraid he'll hurt her. She has a molera which is shrinking but still around 1/2 a dime sized. She can only play with our youngest Dachshund, Pebbles right now.

Such a good boy

I really hate how people throw LIVE animals away like a piece of garbage... I'd feel so bad just to THINK about doing something like that.

Did you adopt the pup yourself or do you work for some rescue group? I hope everything goes well and the pup turns out very healthy.

I know Ruger was a rescue himself and in very good loving hands now...he's such a handsome guy and a good boy..and a great protector watching over the little baby

As much as we are smitten with her we can't keep her. As soon as she's able to be spayed she'll be up for adoption.
Yes Ruger was a stray, too :-)

BTW, that same day, a tiny 2 week old puppy came in, he'd been left in a cardboard box out in the country. He passed away a few days later, we never figured out what was wrong but eating was a horrible experience for him. He saw two vets who didn't really know, other than a congenital issue. I personally believe there was a malformation in his esophagus/trachea that caused milk to go the wrong way. Within a cc or two he'd be gasping for air and air went into his tummy badly. He couldn't suck on a bottle at all and we were dropping milk into his mouth but he was losing weight. We chose to let him go rather than keep trying, as he was growing so week after just a day or two here. My guess is mama pushed him away and wouldn't feed him so they just...dumped him.

You'd think people, in this year, 2012, would know that there's alternatives to throwing dogs (and cats) away in dumpsters and trash cans, but apparently not.

That is an adorable German shepherd face on Ruger. Never seen that look before, just beautiful.
